The Heels woke up Thursday morning to chilly temperatures in Ann Arbor, making their way to practice at Ocker Field, where they were met by snow for nearly the entire practice.
Carolina was joined by the Saint Joseph's, Northwestern, and UMass field hockey teams at Thursday night's NCAA Semifinal Banquet at Michigan Stadium. The Heels heard from Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel and Michigan Softball Assistant Coach Amanda Chidester, ate dinner, and of course, took a lot of pictures.
The top-seeded Tar Heels faced off with Saint Joseph's on Friday in the national semifinal, and after the Hawks took an early 2-0 advantage, UNC came back to make it 2-1 late, but ultimately lost to Saint Joe's to end its 2024 campaign.
